Your herbs filter & purify the aquarium water, removing fish waste & nitrates, almost like magic.

No filter changes, ever. When we say low maintenance, we mean it. Simply feed the fish 3-6x/week and top off with filtered water 1-2x/month. We recommend to never change the aquarium water to not disturb your mini ecosystem.

This 2 gallon aquarium can hold several small fish or one betta fish. It is compact enough to be the perfect office desk aquarium or home decor aquarium.

When do I put the fish in the water?

Option 1) Splicing -- cut off the top 2 inches of a basil plant to put in medium. You can add fish immediately.

Option 2) Grow from seeds -- Can take 2 weeks to grow 2 inches tall, then it is safe to add fish. If your seeds do not sprout, try green onions or adding the top trimming of a basil plant -- only 20% of any kind of seeds ever sprout.
