This set of 3 wax pillar candles (3" diameter, 4", 5", and 6" tall) is designed to be used as night lights in your home. These innovative battery operated candles have several distinctive features: 1. The candles have an 8 hour timer to automatically turn the candles on at a certain time of day (such as bed time). The 3 way switch on the candles allows you to use them in timer mode or just turn them on and off like a standard flameless candle. 2. A super energy efficient LED results in 700+ hours of battery life on 2 AA batteries (not included), which makes these some of the MOST energy efficient candles available. Many other candles only have 300-500 hours of battery life and often require 4 AA batteries or 2 D batteries. In particular, the popular dancing flame candles use electromagnets to create the moving flame effect, but that tends to use a lot of power. 3. The new innovative 3D flickering wick makes for a more realistic and attractive candle, especially when the lights are on and you're close enough to easily see the wick. Many other candles have a flat 2D wick that just reflects the light from the LED; while that may look nice from across the room, it often looks tacky up close.
